Nevercrew: the wall as collective consciousness
Nevercrew is a Swiss artist duo composed of Christian Rebecchi (Lugano, 1980) and Pablo Togni (Bellinzona, 1979).
Since 1996, their artistic career has mainly developed in the context of urban art with the creation of murals, installations, and sculptures. Their work takes shape all over the world and revolves around the concept of comparison linked to the relationship between humanity and nature and between humanity and “systems,” with an emphasis on environmental and social themes.
The Nevercrew duo has carried out urban interventions in cities such as New Delhi, Varanasi, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami, Cairo, Vancouver, Gisborne (New Zealand), Lucerne, Turin, Berlin, Grenoble, Paris, Bayonne, (…) and participated in group exhibitions around the world. Since 2013, they have held nine solo exhibitions in Lugano, Basel, Turin, London, Hong Kong, and Paris.
In 2013, they won the “Artists of the Year 2012” award from the Bally Foundation for Culture (Switzerland), and in 2015, they were ranked among the 100 most influential artists of 2015 in Graffiti Art Magazine’s (F) “The Urban Contemporary Art Guide 2015,” as well as in 2021.
